Risk signals in listings and agents, from swallowed orders to refusals

Some advance lines only become a risk in combination, and some risks have nothing to do with the seller at all.

Warnings that should stop an order

Most advance lines are reasonable. A few combinations should make you stop and settle things before paying, because together they leave no route back:

  • a sale or made-to-order line together with a no seven-day return label;
  • a fitted piece with letter sizes only and no centimetres;
  • a listing whose photos and text disagree on colour or fabric, with a colour line underneath;
  • an ask-first line on a piece you are about to pay for without asking.

A different kind of signal is any request to deal with the seller outside the agent: pay them directly, add them on a chat app, send a deposit elsewhere. None of the fifteen listings in our own check on 19 October 2026 carried such a line, but if one appears, it sits outside anything the agent covers. Basetao says as much on its order page: it will not be held responsible in case of any fraudulent activity on the part of the seller. LoongBuy's FAQ makes the related point that for a purchased order, cancellation and refunds depend on the seller.

Agents that swallow orders or vanish

If payment is recorded but procurement or a refund is unexplained, separate the stages: bank transaction, agent balance, seller purchase, cancellation, refund approval and withdrawal. A pending label alone cannot establish fraud. Keep the amount, time, order identifier and support replies, and ask the provider to explain the missing step. Do not add more money to solve an unresolved reconciliation problem without an explanation.

The defence is the same for every agent, the six on this site included. Keep balances small, top up for the order in front of you, screenshot the listing and the agent's order page, and move on if refunds start to stall.

Refusals, holds and goods agents will not ship

Every featured agent publishes a list of prohibited goods, and goods that infringe trademarks are on those lists. An order for them can be refused at purchase, held at the warehouse, or stopped by customs at either end. LoongBuy's inspection article also screens for transport restrictions before anything is shipped.

A seller's warning does not change any of that. The advance lines on this site are about colour, measurements, returns and timing. They are not a way to get anything past a check, and this site does not explain how to.

A short warning-sign checklist

Before paying, run the listing and the agent through these questions. A single serious issue may be enough to pause; the list is not a risk score.

  • Does the listing rule out returns and give no centimetres?
  • Does the shop notice announce a dispatch pause you did not plan for?
  • Has the agent sat on a refund for more than two weeks?
  • Are you holding a larger balance than the order in front of you needs?
  • Has anyone suggested paying outside the agent?
