Choose a shelf, compare the seller’s item and keep the product link. A catalogue price is not the final cost of an international order.

Clothing shelves and the line each one tends to carry

Clothing is where seller warnings are thickest, because colour, measurements and fabric are exactly what a photo can misrepresent. Each link opens a live shelf of the catalogue or a page of search results; the note under it names the warning you will most often meet on that shelf.

  • Coats and jacketsColour line on dark fabric; smell line on padded pieces.
  • HoodiesPrint placement is checked against the photos; the shade is not.
  • T-shirtsPale colours often carry a see-through caution.
  • KnitwearHand-measured lengths; knits stretch as they are laid flat.
  • JeansWaist and inside leg against the printed margin.
  • TrousersSame margin, plus hem length on wide cuts.
  • SweatpantsCuffed hems hide length; read the flat measurement.
  • Women's pieces (search results)Fitted cuts leave little room for a margin.
  • Linen shirts (search results)Creases are expected and said so in advance.
  • JerseysCompare the selected lettering, number and size with the actual listing.

Two entries are search results rather than fixed shelves: the women's pieces and the linen shirts. Results change as the catalogue changes, so the first screen will not always look the same.

Shoes, bags and accessories

Accessories need checks that a warehouse photo cannot always settle: glue inside a shoe, the structure of a bag or plating durability over time. The sixteen illustrated categories provide starting points; the notes here help you decide which questions to ask about an individual find.

  • SneakersLeft and right are checked as a pair; glue marks are not.
  • BagsStraps and fittings are photographed; deep pockets are not opened.
  • HatsOne size on paper; depth and band figures matter more.
  • BeltsLength is usually listed in centimetres; holes are punched to a pattern.
  • EyewearFrames are photographed; lenses are not tested.
  • JewelleryPlating colour falls under the colour line.
  • WatchesThe face is photographed; timekeeping is not checked.

Perfume and electronics

These two shelves sit at the edge of what a purchasing agent can vouch for. A scent cannot be photographed, and sealed boxes are normally left sealed. Electronics are photographed from the outside and not switched on; LoongBuy, Hipobuy, Oopbuy, JoyaGoo and Basetao all say as much in their published scope. Shipping lines also restrict both: liquids and batteries do not travel on every line.

  • PerfumeA smell cannot be photographed; sealed boxes stay sealed.
  • ElectronicsOutside appearance only; nothing is switched on.
